Objective

I want to talk to you today about 3 unexpected lead generating results of using video.  So what are we talking about? The problem is that your businesses needs to generate more leads through your website. Otherwise it just sits there costing you money. You wouldn’t allow the same behaviour from your sales person, so why do you allow it from your website?

Using video on your website, either in blogs, landing pages, feature pages or even later in the sales cycle, drastically increases your chance to generate high quality leads, and close them.

The most common myth that I come across is that videos online need to either be super highly produced, or you need to be an internet celebrity to see results. This just isn’t true and I want to tell you how.

1. Video CAN be your blog. And customers LOVE blogs.

A blog is very basically, a way for you and your business to demonstrate that you know what you’re talking about. Simple as that.

The average person watches 182 videos a MONTH. B2B businesses that use blogs generate up to 62% more leads than those who don’t.

Don’t I need a video production team?

You do not need professional video production, I’m just using a digital camera and a free piece of publishing software.

Also, customers are more likely to TRUST a brand that uses video. And if you use a piece of kit like Me!Box (the player you’re viewing now), you can even direct people to their next call to action.

2. Google loves video.

The big one, everyone’s favourite search engine.

Put simply, Google ranks your site in their index. This means they need to know what content you’re all about to rank you for relative search terms.

For example, a car dealership that talks about red Ferraris on their website all the time, especially if they produce a couple of videos on red Ferraris, is more likely to appear higher up a search ranking for the term, red Ferrari.

Why does Google love videos?
