You can have absolutely everything you want if you follow this very simple process.
- Write a list of everything you want to accomplish – ideally, the longer term the better. Think about this year and what you want to see happen.
- Write down every goal you have
— This is the hard bit —
- Look at all your goals and circle ONE that you want to accomplish.
What’s the absolute most important, most powerful and most meaningful goal? If you could ONLY work on one, which one would you focus on?
- Cross out all the other goals and make your new, circled goal, your #1 focus.
- Start a new list with your #1 goal at the top.
- Write down everything you think you need to do to reach that goal.
What tasks need to get done? What are the steps to hitting that #1 goal? Write out as many as you can think of.
This is your new “to-do” list.
Any new goals or opportunities that come up, must be ignored and held off until you hit this larger goal.
A good rule of thumb is asking “Will this goal make ALL my other goals easier or irrelevant?”
We also need to make sure that your goal is as specific as possible.
“$10,000 passive income a month” isn’t specific enough. It needs to be.
“I make $10,000 a month recurring revenue, passively, through selling a marketing SaaS to my clients”.
In my experience, people don’t reach their goals because they’re not specific enough.
