So the first side of the Truth Triangle is:

Facts Don't Sell, But Feelings Do

The big idea here is use emotion, feelings, illogical ideas, stories and dreams in your copy.

This is important because people don't connect with facts. Lots of copywriters put facts and features in their copy and wonder why it doesn't make a sale.

Imagine the next Marvel movie telling you how long the film is, how many characters are in it and how much it cost to make - no one would watch! But show Black Widow or Falcon in peril and people get hooked.

The second side of the Truth Triangle is:

Speak to WHO, not about WHAT.

The main thing to understand here is who you're working with is more important than what you do.

This means if you're selling to a particular audience, you need to repeat their name and what makes them unique over and over.

YES, your services might benefit anyone and everyone, but even if you just pick a type of customer, you'll connect and make more sales because you're talking specifically to them.

The third side of the Truth Triangle is:

Introduce Urgency

People need to be moved to make a decision (but not always with limited time offers)!

This is key because while limited time offers and scarcity does work, introducing urgency to your copy will move people to make a decision.

If you're selling a better, less stressful life, great. BUT - what are the consequences if they don't take action today? More stress, less time at home, bigger worries?

You need to introduce a "big bad" that's coming for them if they don't take action today.
