March 2018 Goals

At the 3rd month of the year, most people begin to trail off their initial goals set during winter. We tend to look for easier goals or change our tactics because the goal seems to enourmous or overwhelming. But this is the EAXCT point that we must double down and recommit to our goals.

That’s why I’ll re-read my 2018 goals here every morning and especially when writing my goals for the next month. My tasks for the weeks and days ahead contribute directly to the monthly goals, which get me to my yearly and longer term goals.

I’ve been learning a lot about goal setting and “what’s possible” this month. It’s becoming more and more obvious that repeated habits and committing to an action over and over is what drives success. The goal is almost irrelevant. It’s the path that we tread which attracts success. Success is something you ARE, not something you become.

So with that, I’ve written up my goals for March 2018 in direct response to my February review (below) and my longer term goals for the year. This is where we might see some repetition of previous months goals if I haven’t reached my target. Not making a goal or target isn’t failing. Giving up on the goal is failing.

10 certification sales via webinar

What is it?

We have our flagship certification program available and I’ll be promoting that on our call at the end of March. We have a free webinar on Finding A Niche For Your Funnel Business on 29th March that we’ll show and demonstrate the certification on.

Why is this important?

It’s really common for businesses to start changing the product or thinking no one wants it, when you aren’t making sales.

However, when you look closely at the promotion, marketing and sales campaigns it’s clear that most businesses haven’t even told their customers that their product exists. I refuse to change the product or price lower, when I examine how little I’ve tried to promote the product.

How am I planning on doing it?

The sign up page is already done and advertising started at the end of February. I’ll follow my slides process and continue to promote the webinar to my list right up to the last day.

When will it be complete?

The webinar is on 29th March

Who is involved?

Myself and 10 funnel builders who want to understand how to choose a funnel niche. I need 100 funnel builders on the call who want to learn more about running a funnel business.

100 Beaver Funnel sales

What is it?

Beaver Funnels is our funnel building plugin for WordPress and Beaver Builder. I want March to generate 100 sales at $497 per sale which would attract $49700 for our business.

Why is this important?

Beaver Funnels is a key part of our $1 million year. It’s a scalable offering that means we can serve more people than ever before. If we can understand how to sell to 100 we can sell to 1000 and then 2000.

How am I planning on doing it?

We’ve built our Facebook audiences and we’ll start advertising this month. Targeting funnel builders, Beaver Builder users and WordPress users. We’ll be offering the sale directly to cold traffic as well as using advertising to promote our blog and recorded webinar.

When will it be complete?

We want 100 sales by 31st March 2018.

Who is involved?

Mark my business partner as he’s a key part of our financials and big picture thinking. Mitch our technology lead will continue to improve the plugin and make it even better. I’ll be creating the sales and marketing approach that drives leads and sales.

We also of course need 100 dedicated funnel builders, who use Beaver Builder as a page builder and who want to make funnels easier and faster. Our ideal customer is someone that wants to grow and scale their funnel and website business by offering more funnels, faster, to their customers.

$10 o00 revenue through Sell Your Service

What is it?

Generating $10k per month has been our goal from the start. Combining the coaching membership and individual sales, we want to build our revenue to $10 000 per month.

Why is this important?

$10 000 per month raises our stature and increases our resources for helping more funnel builders. We want to hire content writers, a traffic consultant, a support team and more coaches.

How am I planning on doing it?

Stick to the plan. I know I can sell memberships and certifications. I know people want them and I know they’re valuable. I know webinars work and that I must advertise on FB more. I know I can sell to my list and I know that building a network to promote Sell Your Service is what will make it all happen.

I just have to stick to the plan and add those tasks to my list every day and week.

When will it be complete?

This month by 31st March we’ll have generated $10000 in revenue.

Who is involved?

I need a team of people to bring this together. I need people reading my blog who find it interesting enough to share. I need funnel builders who want to learn more and who are dedicated to learning and being better people. I need to continue to help my current members and coaching customers by providing them with great content.

Book August trip to America

What is it?

We want to spend the month of August in Montana with my business partner and a couple of other friends. We might also put on a small workshop for anyone in the area who wants to learn more about building a better business.

Why is this important?

One of our goals is to spend less time in the UK and more time travelling. Unless we actually do that, it won’t happen by magic. So in March we’re going to commit to booking a flight to Montana. This will let us work face to face with partners and customers in order to grow our own businesses.

How am I planning on doing it?

1st August to 31st August. Book the flight and the rest will take care of itself.

When will it be complete?

I want this booked the first week in March.

Who is involved?

Me, my partner Liv and my business partner Mark.

Meditate every day, learn every week

What is it?

I want to wake up every morning (Saturdays and Sundays included) and meditate for 15-20 minutes. I feel the benefits when I do it, but unless it’s a habit that’s done every day, it doesn’t stack up. I also want to continue to commit to learning by reading, courses, seminars and webinars every week. Monday is my day to learn and strategise – nothing else.

Why is this important?

Better people attract better lifestyles. They attract better money, better incomes and better customers. They’re healthier, happier and more productive. When WE are better, the world is better. And meditation and learning help me do that.

How am I planning on doing it?

There are no shortage of courses, books, programs, seminars, webinars, audioguides and workbooks available. There are 2 stages to “being” better.

  1. Carving out the time to learn and read and being better at something. The time slot must be regular and it’s must be a priority.
  2. DOING the actions and tasks which appear as answers during the process. If I learn or realise that I must save more money or write down goals every day, then I have to do it.

I have a few courses that I need to complete that I’m working through and I’ll block out Monday’s to learn and read.

When will it be complete?

From today, until the end of my life. I’ll commit to learning new things, reading and understanding every day.

Who is involved?

No one but myself.


February 2018 goal review

100 Beaver Funnel sales

What is it?

Beaver Funnels is now live and can take payments!

Beaver Funnels is a plugin for WordPress that let’s you build funnels SUPER fast and VERY easy.

It lets you use Beaver Builder as the page builder for your funnels. It includes 5 funnel types, a content engine to write all the content in the funnel AND visualise pages in a funnel order.

What happened?

Not even close. While Beaver Funnels is selling, it’s only in the last few days that it’s picked up. I think there are around 50 customers in total so far.

This isn’t a huge blow to us, but it’s clear that my launch strategy isn’t as strong as I’d have liked. We had a webinar which made sales at the end of the month, which indicates a great sales path. We also need to advertise BF on Facebook.

 

12 month content strategy for Beaver Funnels

What is it?

I want a 12 month blog and video strategy for Beaver Funnels. It might also include webinars and a few paid ads to promote the plugin.

What happened?

Done and done. We created a 12 month content funnel for BF with post titles, videos and lead magnets. It took 2 calls on Appear.in and a Quip document to craft a content strategy that will promote BF every day.

 

Sell 10 flagship certifications

What is it?

Sell Your Service has a flagship certification on becoming a certified marketing automation funnel expert.

Under the new pricing model, we’re offering the course for $1497 for lifetime access.

What happened?

Again, not as close. We made sales but we didn’t make 10. The reason for that is simply time. I didn’t manage the process well enough to drive more sales.

2 things I need for this to happen are a promotion strategy and a live sales event.

What is it?

We’re SO close to a $10k month and I want February to be that month.

What happened?

Closer and closer we reach this goal!

 

Certification webinar

What is it?

In order to create 10 initial certification sales AND begin to grow our new coaching membership, I need to create a sales webinar that attracts new leads and converts them into customers.

What happened?

Instead, we switched to selling Beaver Funnels on the call. It was well attended and generated revenue. But I decided that March would the month for selling the certification at $1497 as I’ll be promoting the webinar via more channels.
