July 2018 Goals

Better late than never. I’ve been creating so much content that I neglected this post, which is arguably my most important post.

June was a good month. Productive, effective and very insightful. I’m looking forward to what July can bring.

Just before I crack on with this months goals, I’ve been going pretty hard at the business for a few months now. Like REALLY hard. I’ve come to a very clear realisation that committing and doubling down on my niche, market and what I’m good at is how I energise myself.

But also, it’s important to say that I’m working hard, to make my work easier. I’m doing everything I can to stop admin and time wasting tasks. I’d rather do 3 hours of IGT or KRA tasks than 8 hours of admin.

  1. Create a weekly/monthly time block calendar
  2. Create 10 JV webinar campaigns
  3. Sell 1 Marketing Funnel Certification with new campaign
  4. “Publish” The Funnel Builder’s Bible
  5. Publish a video a day

1. Create a weekly/monthly time block calendar

What is it?

I’ve measured my energy levels through the day for over 21 days. Last month I wanted to do this but I didn’t get around to it. This will allow me to remain energised through the day, stay effective and manage my time and day better.

How am I planning on doing it?

  1. List out 10 IGT, KLA and KRA tasks
  2. Map my IGT and KRA blocks to high energy levels
  3. Map KLA blocks to medium levels
  4. Map admin and meeting blocks to low energy levels
  5. Block time, not tasks

2. Create 10 JV webinar campaigns

What is it?

We’ve almost got 10 JV partners on board for our Beaver Funnels launch campaign. I need to create the registration pages, emails, slides and material for the webinars.

How am I planning on doing it?

  1. Create a registration and confirmation page template
  2. Create individual forms which link to individual Zoom webinars
  3. Write 8 registration emails
  4. Write up a JV campaign document
  5. Copy 10 registration and confirmation pages with individual bios and branding

3. Sell 1 Marketing Funnel Certification with new campaign

What is it?

I have a brand new sales campaign that I’m working on. I want to test it by selling 1 of our Certifications for full price.

How am I planning on doing it?

  1. Identify potential Certification candidates (ideally 100)
  2. Craft 5 part sales campaign
    1. Identify biggest problem
    2. Connect over problem
    3. Identify biggest desired result
    4. Connect over desired result
    5. Offer to help with certification
  3. Send on automation to each candidate
  4. Review opens and clicks
  5. Follow up with hot leads

4. “Publish” The Funnel Builder’s Bible

What is it?

Publish is in inverted commas because I don’t really know how I’m going to do this. There are so many worksheets and the book is over 150 pages. Maybe split it into 3 magazine style workbooks? It might go on Amazon but I’d rather sell physical copies for a “free + shipping” deal.

How am I planning on doing it?

  1. List 5 ways I could publish the book
  2. Layout and format the book pages
  3. Research other workbooks and their publishers/methods
  4. Pre-sell 100 copies
  5. Offer the printable e-book as an immediate reward

5. Publish a video a day

What is it?

For 100 days I want to publish a video a day on YouTube. It’s more about flexing that creative video muscle and doing more now, to get better faster. I’ve already done almost 30 and it’s taught me a lot about creating videos. Eventually, I want to go to 3 a week but have them well shot, edited and better optimised on YouTube. I’m also experimenting with IGTV.

How am I planning on doing it?

  1. 10 topics for YouTube
  2. 10 subtopics per topics for each video
  3. Set up the camera, hit record, upload
  4. Review analytics and get better later
  5. Create scripts, edits and plans after I learn how to shoot better

1. Block out calendar times for the rest of the year

What is it?

After reading Rob Moore’s Routine = Results, it’s clear that I need to block out critical times for myself and the rest of the year. These should be on a recurring basis at regular times during the week.

This will allow me unbroken, uninterrupted concentration time for key tasks.

What happened

Didn’t get around to it. Funny really as this task will give me more time.

2. Measure my work and energy log for 21 days

What is it?

In order to optimise my working time, I need to measure when I do work, what tasks I do and my energy levels throughout the day.

I have tried this in the past but I haven’t done it, the 21 unbroken days.

I’ll be filling out the work log on a half-hour basis, for 21 days straight

What happened

Bloody did it. It was very very interesting. I published my results here. I really enjoyed the process and it’s very eye opening.

3. Create 1 Facebook ad campaign for 1 blog post

What is it?

Our funnel converts pretty well. Our remarketing campaigns have a high conversion rate, and a high sales rate. At the moment we make money per lead. So I now need to drive more traffic from all of the audiences that I’ve built up, from cold audiences, from Facebook.

What happened

Created it, but the first few campaigns drove NO traffic. So had to set up another.

4. Get 10 JV partners to promote Beaver Funnels

What is it?

All I need to do is get 10 colleagues, friends and partners to agree to promote Beaver Funnels when we are ready to launch. They’ll need a piece of content, some kind of reward and an email list.

What happened

10 signed up, potentially 12 in the future.

5. Build the Funnel Builders Bible worksheet book

What is it?

I’ve had an idea for the Funnel Builders Bible for a while now. A worksheet book that contains all the exercises and worksheets required to start a marketing funnel business, build a marketing funnel for customers and sell marketing funnels to customers. If I put this together and publish it, I’d like to do as a “free plus shipping offer”.

What happened

Completed it and now looking to publish.
