You guys are obsessed with doing 1:1 work for 1:many pay.
A big misconception that a lot of people have about me, is that I believe everything should cost $25,000.
Coaching program? Charge $25,000.
Marketing services? Charge $25,000.
Software? Books? Audio program? Charge $25,000.
This is a gross oversimplification and a hurtful slight against my character. I won’t stand for it.
Because in fact, what I believe is that when you’re delivering $25,000 worth of services, you should charge $25,000. But most of you are delivering $25,000 worth of services and only charging $2500.
Most of you are charging DIY prices for DFY services.
It’s killing your business.
No one likes price raises. No one likes paying more than what they think something is worth.
But I’ve spoken to agencies doing $100,000 a year and $6M a year and everyone in between, and the #1 thing preventing them from getting to the next level is…
Terrible pricing.
Agencies price based on fear and emotion. They price their services based on what their competition are charging and what they think their customers will pay.
It’s all nonsense and it’s choking your growth.
YES, charging $25,000 for your services will put off most people. Good!
YES, some people will be flustered at the price. Some might even get angry. GOOD.
Do you think those people make good clients?
Service does NOT mean SUBservience. It doesn’t mean bowing to the whims of those who make the most noise.
Service means doing something that makes a difference to their life, and they’re willing to give up some money to get it.
So start charging $25,000 because you’re making a $25,000 difference.
