Ever hit rock bottom in your entrepreneurial journey?
I’ve been there, trust me.
The whole enchilada – feeling overwhelmed, doubting every move, and the sneaky suspicion that I’m not making any progress.
Let me share a little story with you.
It was during one of these rough patches that I had a heart-to-heart with a mate.
I was on the brink of throwing in the towel, really.
He asked me, “Why do you feel like quitting?”
And you know what? It boiled down to feeling stuck like I wasn’t moving forward at all.
But then he hit me with the real question: “Why are you doing what you’re doing in the first place? What were you hoping to achieve when you started?”
That got me thinking.
So, I dove into my old journals and notebooks, hunting for answers.
And there it was, a goal I had scribbled down: “$2000 passive income.”
That was it.
The funny thing?
I was already past that goal.
I was making progress, alright.
But here’s the kicker – I wasn’t unhappy with the progress.
I was unhappy with the goal itself.
It hit me like a ton of bricks.
I wanted to quit because I was aiming at the wrong target.
My actual achievements were shadowed by an outdated goal that no longer resonated with where I was in life.
So, here’s my takeaway for you, when you feel like giving up, ask yourself – are you dissatisfied with the progress or the goal?
Sometimes, it’s not about how far we’ve come, but where we’re headed that needs reevaluation.
Before I sign off, a question to ponder: Are you chasing goals that truly align with your current aspirations and values?
Stay strong, and remember, it’s not just about the destination, but also about enjoying the journey.
