If you want to smash your productivity goals, what you need to do is start being more selective.
In other words, start being fussier.
If you have work that comes in and you know that only one of those tasks is going to grow the business, what you need to do is make sure you’re dedicating your best thinking time, your highest energy levels and your most productive mindset to that task rather than saying, “Oh, well, other people think this task is emergency.”, or, “This customer says they’ve got this problem.”
You need to be working on tasks that are growing your business first and everything else comes second.
So, if you want to be hyper-productive, start being fussier with when you do those tasks and what tasks you dedicate time to.
