Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.
I don’t consider myself a particularly skilled marketer.
I know I’m not the world’s best business owner.
Most of my team know our internal processes better than me.
So what exactly is it that I bring to the table?
I spend an enormous amount of energy and focus to overcoming internal fears.
What if I’m not good enough?
What if it fails?
What if people think I’m stupid and this ruins my reputation?
We all have these fears, and I’m proud to say I have them too.
The 2nd thing I do (and sometimes the first), every morning after exercising, is sit in my ice bath.
I hate cold water.
I hate cold.
I have a fear of cold, freezing water. It’s uncomfortable, unpleasant and a total body shock.
So why do I do it?
Apart from the health benefits and mental benefits.
It’s because I want to conquer my fear.
If I do something awful at the start of the day, but know that I’ve conquered a fear, the rest of the day is easy (or at least easier).
I want the benefits – I have to overcome the fear.
I want the benefits of a large YouTube following – so I have to overcome the fear.
I want the benefits of a team working with me in the business to get our customers awesome results – so I have to overcome the fear.
I want the benefits of a healthy lifestyle – so I have to overcome the fear.
There is no trick, no secret, no key.
There is doing, or not doing.
And that’s what I’ll bring to the table time after time.
