Stressed out? Try this simple Monday routine

The last few weeks in our business have been nothing short of chaotic.

We’ve faced turmoil, endless changes, and a lot of ups and downs.

I’ve been away, other team members have been away, and it feels like we’ve been fighting fires every day.

So how do you stay productive when everything around you is spinning out of control?

Here’s what works for me: every Monday, I take 15 minutes with no screens, no laptop, no notebook—nothing.

You might call it meditation, but for me, it’s just a chance to let my mind wander freely, thinking only about what truly needs to get done.

At first, my mind races, spinning through all the tasks I’ve been putting off.

But eventually, I start to hone in on what’s really important.

Then I grab a post-it note and jot down everything on my mind.

Yes, a simple post-it note.

I know it sounds basic, but there’s a method to the madness.

If it doesn’t fit on that tiny square, it’s not worth stressing over.

We do use tools like Obsidian and ClickUp for team organisation, but when things get truly hectic, I find it’s the small, simple steps that keep me grounded.

Here’s the reality: I’m easily overwhelmed.

That’s why limiting myself to just a post-it note of tasks helps me focus.

It forces me to accept that most of what I’m worrying about won’t get done this week.

And that’s okay.

I trust that each time I go through this exercise, I’ll learn from the experience and write a better list next time.

So, when your week gets overwhelming, try this: spend 15 minutes with no distractions, jot down your priorities on a post-it note, and accept that not everything will get done.

The key isn’t perfection—it’s progress.

What’s on your post-it note this week?
