The one line changed my mind

Hold on.

Because you might be missing something crucial.

The seasons of a business.

Yes, just like Mother Nature, businesses have their seasons too.

And understanding this can change everything.

Let me paint you a picture.

There I was, during a cold winter, burning the midnight oil.

Pushing for growth, growth, and more growth.

But it wasn’t happening.

Frustration was brewing.

On a call with my friend Marc, I vented.

Listed all the activities I’d been investing time in.

Campaigns, social posts, videos, interviews, you name it.

He listened, then he asked, “So, you’ve planted seeds, Mike.”

Of course, I had.

But where were the results?

He continued with a simple yet profound analogy.

He asked, “Do farmers dig up their seeds in frustration, starting over?”

No, they wait.

They understand that after the planting, comes nurturing.

Nurturing, not more planting, leads to growth.

This opened my eyes.

I was expecting immediate growth when I should have been nurturing.

Each season in business, like in nature, has its role.

Don’t rush the seasons.

They come and go in their own time.

And sometimes, it’s time to stop planting and start nurturing.

So, what season is your business in?
