If you want more clients for your WordPress business, you need to read this. It’s the entire lead generation process for WordPress website clients from Troy at WP Elevation.

Why it works.

It’s FULL of worksheets without optins, and is a step by step process to generating more high quality clients.

What you can copy.

Take a look at the format of the worksheets. Why can’t you create worksheets like these for your clients? If you’re using them already, why aren’t you promoting them via blog content and helping people use them?

How to publish like a huge content creation team (when it’s really just you)

Niklas Goeke, Sumo

What’s it about?

If you want to write more content, and you’ll notice that here at Sell Your Service we publish a lot of content, you’ll want to read this post.

Why it works.

Niklas’s post is pure gold. It’s an instructional journal with all the steps you need. But most importantly, it starts with a sales letter. The concept of writing more content and how to do it is introduced and sold to you from the start. By the end of the first section, up to “Okay, let’s get cracking!”  is a sales letter.

Best bit.

The sales letter introduction. It’s fucking brilliant. You’d want to read on and even pay by the end, because Niklas has done such a good job positioning the problem and solution.

What you can copy.

I’ll give you a hint, it rhymes with male setter.

Take a look at the sales letter style introduction and copy it.

Why it works.

This post is so incredible because it’s the foundation for everything Digital Marketer does. Every lesson, workshop, course, webinar and book is based from this post and model. It’s that important to their business. And they gave it away.

Best bit.

The business model download. Called a CVO (customer value optimization), it’s a flowchart for how businesses should run.

Does your killer content support your overall business vision? Could you give this to people as an introduction AND refer to it later with other customers?

How to sell monthly retainer marketing funnels to customers

Mike Killen, Sell Your Service

What’s it about?

I put myself on this list (twice) for two reasons. One, to show I can eat my own medicine and two, because I wanted something you could see that applies all the best parts of these posts.

This particular post, is about how to sell monthly retainer marketing funnel projects to customers.

Why it works.

Worksheets? Check.

Sales letter style intro? Check.

Valuable content I can use over and over? Check.

Best bit.

The bit I get the most positive feedback from, is the pricing worksheet. To the point that we created another blog post just around pricing. Content creates content.

What you can copy.

Look at how I explain the worksheets as the blog post content. It’s not magic, just very structured. Visitors love reading the content that helps them fill out the very worksheets I’m helping them with.

How membership businesses wake up everyday with more email subscribers

Mike Killen, MeBox

What’s it about?

So, why two posts? Because I’m so great? Nope. Because I wanted to show you that lightning can strike twice. It’s not fluke, this is a formula you can follow.

This post is for our agency MeBox which helps membership businesses find and keep more members. This post in particular helps businesses grow their email list.

Why it works.

This post works because it’s a wonderful proof point. The truth is that any business could do what we do. But we’re the team who have specialised, focused and produced content on something so specific.

No one asks for our portfolio because of this post.

Best bit.

The specificity. Again, the words could be swapped out for any business to grow an email list. But we want to attract membership businesses, so we focused on membership businesses.

What you can copy.

Valuable, specific and focused content. Who’s your audience and could you help them do something? Simple as that.

Wrap up

“It’s easy for you Mike, you write loads anyway”. I hear this a lot from people. And yes, I do write a lot. But I write a lot because I force myself to write a lot. 2 hours a day are dedicated. But it could even be just 10 minutes a day. Or 1 hour a week.

Give that time to yourself and don’t budge. Start writing content regularly and see the benefits.

Too much content? Not enough? What other posts do you think are examples of killer content? What do you love or what have I missed? Let me know in the comments below.
